With the latest updates for Terraria comes a slew of new items to play with. From weapons to potions, there's no shortage of new content to dive into. One of the latest items to be added to Terraria is the Golden Delight, which, when brewed and consumed, will give the player the Exquisitely Stuffed buff. This is the best food-related buff a player can get and will increase their Defense (+4), Crit Hit Chance (+4%), Melee Speed (+10%), Damage (+10%), Minion Knockback (+1), Movement Speed (+40%), and Mining Speed (+15%).

Unlike other food buffs in Terraria that only warrant a few minutes of increased stats, the Exquisitely Stuffed buff from consuming the Golden Delight will last a total of 48 minutes or until the player removes the buff themselves by canceling it. The issue isn't so much crafting or consuming the Golden Delight but rather waiting for one of the incredibly rare golden critters to appear so the item can actually be made.

How to Craft Golden Delight in Terraria

In order for players to craft the Golden Delight in Terraria, they'll first need to catch one of the 13 different golden species. This includes the Golden Bird, Bunny, Butterfly, Dragonfly, Frog, Goldfish, Grasshopper, Ladybug, Mouse, Seahorse, Squirrel, Water Strider, and Worm, each of which has less than a 0.5% chance of spawning.

Luckily, these can all be detected by the Lifeform Analyzer which can be purchased from the Traveling Merchant for 5 Gold. The Analyzer can also be crafted at the Tinkerer's Workshop which can be purchased from the Goblin Tinkerer for 10 Gold. Additionally, players will need a Bug Net to capture each of these species (the net can be purchased from the Merchant for 25 Silver). Lastly, players will need either a Cauldron or a Cooking Pot to actually craft the Golden Delight.

The Cauldron only appears during Terraria's Halloween season and can be purchased from the Witch Doctor for 1 Gold and 50 Silver. The Cooking Pot can be crafted with an Iron or Lead Anvil for 10 Iron (any type) and 2 Wood (any type). The Cooking Pot can also be randomly found within abandoned buildings both above and underground.

Once the player has captured one of the Golden Critters with the Bug Net, the player simply needs to stand in front of a Cooking Pot (or Cauldron if the time of year is right) and select Golden Delight. If players prefer to not have the buff, the Golden Delight can be sold for 10 Gold, making the player a decent amount of money. Based on the rarity of the Golden Critters though, it might be best to save the Golden Delight and consume it at the next opportune moment to get the stat increases.

Terraria is available to play on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Android devices.
