Terraria's 1.4 update officially added Texture Pack support to Re-Logic's sandbox game, allowing players to directly access their packs through the main menu. Before they can do that, though, fans will first need to find some Terraria 1.4 Texture Packs and install them, and those are not things that every player will immediately know how to do. Fortunately, with just a bit of instruction players should find it quit easy to locate Terraria 1.4 Texture Packs and get them up and running.
To note, Terraria's Journey's End update did change Texture Pack formatting, which means that old packs will need to be updated in order to be compatible with 1.4. Considering that Terraria 1.4 has only been available for a few days at the time of writing, this updating has not yet occurred for some of the most extensive and well-known Texture Packs. That said, it is possible to find some Terraria 1.4 Texture Packs right now, and many more are sure to be available in the forthcoming days.
Specifically, players that are looking for 1.4 Texture Packs are advised to visit the Terraria Texture Packs forums. The "Released" sub-forum in particular is where players can find Texture Packs that work with Terraria's 1.4 update right now, and fans can also check in the "Works-in-Progress" sub-forum to see packs that are on the way.
Once a player has located a Terraria 1.4 Texture Pack that they like they will then need to install it, and the process for doing this is as follows:

- Windows: Place the Texture Pack.zip in Documents\My Games\Terraria\ResourcePacks
- Mac: Place the Texture Pack.zip in ~Library/Application Support/Terraria/ResourcePacks
- Linux: Place the Texture Pack.zip in $XDG_DATA_HOME/Terraria/ResourcePacks
Once a player has installed a Terraria 1.4 Texture Pack they can then access it through the "Texture Packs" option in the game's main menu. From there fans will be free to enjoy their new textures as they explore all of the new content that was added with Journey's End, which include Whips, the Zoologist, and new bosses in Terraria 1.4. Indeed, now is a great time for players to be jumping into Terraria, and 1.4 Texture Packs are one way to enhance the experience.
