One of the most useful abilities in Tales of Graces f is the chance of stealing when performing a specific Arte. Unfortunately, the game doesn't tell you how to unlock or how to use the steal ability. Use the following steps to learn who can steal and how to use it in Tales of Graces f Remastered.

How To Unlock Steal In Tales Of Graces F Remastered

The steal ability is an invaluable method for obtaining power and quest items from story bosses and dangerous optional bosses in Tales of Graces f Remastered. For example, in Chapter 4, the Rockagong Beast has a valuable item that must be stolen before escaping battle to complete a side quest.

To steal, you must upgrade Asbel and Sophie's Artes obtained from earning titles. However, Sophie has a better chance of stealing because she's faster and has more Artes available to her that include the steal attribute as a bonus.

Asbel's Artes With The Steal Mechanic

Stagger Strike Adept	Stagger Strike x2

Use the B Arte Stagger Strike in combat 100 times, and this will unlock Stagger Strike Adept. Upgrade both Stagger Strike columns in the title, and your Stagger Strike attack will gain the steal ability. Then, use the attack in battle to have a chance of stealing items from the enemy.

Sophie's Artes With The Steal Mechanic

Sophie can unlock the A Arte Eagle Dive and the B Arte Sword assault with the steal mechanic. Using the Eagle Dive and Sword Assault 100 times will unlock the Adept versions. You'll need to unlock both Eagle Dive and Sword Assault columns under the adept titles.

The Artes tab on the menu screen shows how many times each Arte has been used in battle.

Fully upgrade both, and Sophie will unlock the steal ability for both Artes. This means Sophie can use both attack combo chains for an increased chance of stealing items. This makes Sophie the best choice for stealing items when she's set as the party leader. Titles with new Artes that contain the steal mechanic will unlock as you progress through Tales of Graces f Remastered's story and side quests.
