Solo Leveling Season 2 Is Already Getting Surpassed By 1 New Anime
Solo Leveling season 2 was huge, but this one anime is taking away its spotlight.
Takopi's Original Sin Episode 2 Focused On Azuma's Backstory
The episode kicked off with Azuma finding Takopi and Shizuka standing over the dead body of Marina. Azuma was shocked to learn about Takopi and that he was responsible for Marina's death. He tells Shizuka to turn herself in for a less severe punishment, but she dismisses the idea. Instead, Shizuka asks Azuma to help her get out of the perilous situation.
Azuma was conflicted because, on one hand, he couldn't overlook a murder, but on the other hand, he was overwhelmed by his feelings for Shizuka. Shizuka's request affected Azuma's deepest insecurity, which was being compared to his dependable older brother, so the latter agreed to help her out.
The first thing that the trio did was put Marina's body inside a Memory Box, after which they buried it in the ground, leaving a small portion outside. The next course of action was to order Takopi to turn into Marina using one of his gadgets. Subsequently, Takopi goes to Marina's home to take her place. Not long after arriving, Takopi was hit by Marina's father while her mother was crying.
Azuma Tries To Face His Deepest Fears
In another part of the episode, Takopi helps Azuma in his mission to steal the ring that belongs to his elder brother. Azuma wants to steal it because he thinks it will ease his mother's worries. However, Azuma's relationship with his mother is far from normal. For years, Azuma played second fiddle to Junya (Azuma's elder brother).
Azuma's mother constantly compared him to Junya, which resulted in the former developing severe mental health issues. She would make pancakes but wouldn't give them to Azuma because he didn't meet the standards set by Junya. Ultimately, Azuma and Takopi fail in their mission, and they return to Shizuka. Azuma was on guard as he was expecting Shizuka to berate him. Thankfully, she did no such thing. The episode ends with Marina's body being discovered.

It will also affect Azuma's plan to go to Tokyo, as the police might want to talk to all of Marina's classmates.
