During their journeys in Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon, players might have found various mysterious quest items, and they haven't discovered their uses yet. One of such items might be the Questing Beast Egg, found in a well-hidden location in the Horns of the South zone.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon Collector's Edition Unboxing - The Best War Games Mailbag
Today, we're taking a look at the Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon Collector's Edition!
This guide will reveal all the information players need to know about the Questing Beast Egg, including its location, value, and most importantly, what they should do with it. First, let's take a look at how to find the correct location to grab this item in Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon.
Where To Find The Questing Beast Egg In Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon
The Questing Beast Egg can be found inside the Shrine of a Forgotten God, located on the mountain east of the King's Road. To reach this place, players need to go around the Blood Lake and climb the path next to it, past the Druidic Altar. Then follow the straight path until they see an Archer Lady Statue. Up there, they will find Caradoc once more, and he will question them about their reasons for not revealing that Arthur was still alive inside them.
After exhausting all the dialogue options and then dismissing him, players can move inside the cave. They will be met with the scene of a battle, and a felled beast that was slain by Caradoc himself. Behind this beast, there's a small gap and a Nest, and in the nest lies a single egg. Players should pick it up, then get all the valuables inside the only chest in that dungeon and move as far away as possible before examining the Questing Beast Egg.

Should You Keep The Egg Or Stash It Right Away?
Proceeding forward, there are two options for the players, one leads to the Hatching of the Questing Beast Egg, which will grant them a cute pet (that also involves some backstory and unlocks potential dialogue choices).
The other option is to stash it right away (to prevent it from hatching), and if players do not wish to have a pet or save the creature inside the egg, they should go to their Stash inside the Horns of the South fortress and deposit it there. The Egg can be picked at any time, at which point players will be able to hatch it without any issues.
How To Hatch The Questing Beast Egg
If players have decided to keep the Questing Beast Egg and hatch it, they will need to follow the instructions in the Item, which reveal that after walking 5000 steps, the Egg will hatch. (Yes, that's right, exactly like in the Pokemon games).
Just keeping the Egg in their inventories for a while, and checking it once in a while, will do the trick. Once players see the counter has reached zero, they should rest at a Campfire to see a brief cutscene where the Questing Beast Egg will hatch, and they will have their own pets to accompany them during their journey through the lands of Avalon.
Players can pet the creature, demand it to follow them, or ask it to do 'a trick,' which is actually one of the cutest things this monster can do. Besides that, there's nothing much to it. The creature will not alert enemies while in Stealth, so it is basically cosmetic, except for some dialogue choices with one of the factions (The Picts), the creature will have no intervention in the gameplay.
