Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon Collector's Edition Unboxing - The Best War Games Mailbag
Today, we're taking a look at the Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon Collector's Edition!
In this guide, players will learn about one of these possible choices after they meet with Caradoc for the second time in the Horns of the South. When Caradoc demands that the players choose between answering truthfully to any of their questions, or granting them an Artifact, here's what the players should do.
Where To Find Caradoc In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon
After arriving at the Horns of the South, Caradoc can be found in the Altar of the Forgotten God, which is directly north of the Lake of Blood, one of the first locations players will find after leaving the shipwreck beach. The Altar of the Forgotten God is on top of the mountain on the right of the players (considering that they are facing northwest, walking from the shipwreck beach and climbing the road ahead.
Following the path will lead to the ruins of a wall and a zone plagued with bandits. From there, turn north and follow the wall sticking to the mountainside side to find a path that climbs around the mountain. Players should pass the Druidic Altar (or stick around to offer some Animal Pelts, Fangs, or Horns to gain some extra loot), and follow the path until they spot the Statue of a woman holding a bow. Caradoc will be waiting just ahead, climbing the stairs in front of the statue.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon Review
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon delivers a bleak, immersive RPG experience, though its clunky combat and unbalanced gear system hold it back.
Should You Ask Caradoc A Question Or Ask For The Artifact?
When meeting Caradoc for the first time after the shipwreck, he will be considerably angry. Of course, players might demand some answers from him, and try to avoid the fact that they lied and kept the information about Arthur's Spirit still clinging to the player a secret. No matter what they choose by following the dialogue options, ultimately, he will reveal that he has slain a foul Beast and that he has found an artifact inside its lair.
Now, comes an important choice. Caradoc will offer to answer one of the questions of the player truthfully and without withholding any information, which (spoiler alert) is a trick to test players once more. On the other hand, he will offer to give them the Menhir Artifact he has found inside the Beast's Lair. Players should choose this Artifact, a consumable that will increase their base Health by 5 permanently.
After choosing the Artifact, players can go ahead and dismiss Caradoc, as he will reveal nothing of usefulness for their survival. Then, they can also enter the Beast's Lair and loot a chest and the Questing Beast Egg that lies hidden behind the corpse of the monster. If players raise the egg with care, it will soon hatch into a Questing Beast Hatchling that players can keep as a pet for the rest of the adventure.
