The Rock Band franchise began in 2007 and has had four main series games and a variety of spin-offs, such as Lego Rock Band and The Beatles: Rock Band.  The Rock Band series consists of rhythm games that use instrument-like controllers, such as lead guitar, bass guitar, and drums; letting players create their own fictional band.
