Arguably Bethesda's best game, Fallout 3 balances the tone of dark humour and desperate survival perfectly. Many of the quests are extremely memorable, as are the random events and settings you will come across. Lets not forget the epic DLCs, Mothership Zeta and Point Lookout in particular, which added even more high-quality content!

Fallout 3 was a revolution for the series, bringing it into 3D with a new perspective. The open world of the Capital Wasteland is vast, and the story is gripping. But, the combat mechanics can feel awkward, and there’s a ton of backtracking. It’s a great game, but it shows its age in some areas. However, it’s still a massive improvement over its predecessors.

Stepping out of the vault for the first time was a mind-blowing experience. Easily one of my favorite open world games ever.
