The fast food restaurant Taco Bell has announced its partnership with Tony Hawk to bring the skater’s custom meal to the menu for fans to try, and the collaboration also offers several exclusive in-game items for the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. Serving as a remake of the early 2000s' Pro Skater entries, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is making a name for itself in Hawk’s skateboarding video game series, as, controversially, the installment will not feature the popular free-roam career mode from the original.
Taco Bell, the multinational chain, is well known for its Mexican-inspired selection of tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, and special items. Of course, this isn’t the first time the restaurant chain has been connected to video games, as Taco Bell previously referenced the Kingdom Hearts series in one of its commercials, and the chain even released its own video game in 2000 for DOS, titled Taco Bell: Tasty Temple Challenge.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 Features Cameo of Underground's Villain
New reports indicate that Activision's upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 features a cameo of Underground's beloved villain.
Included in the Tony Hawk Luxe Craving Box, fans can bag a cheese quesadilla, a crunchy taco, chips and nacho cheese sauce, and a medium Lipton iced tea. Additionally, gamers can look forward to the collaboration’s in-game exclusive items, which will individually be added throughout July and August. Some of the items include a Taco Bell hoodie and a Salsa verde skateboard. The Taco Bell collaboration, yielding several exclusive items, isn’t the only crossover to look forward to in-game, as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 confirmed that a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle will become a playable character.
Taco Bell to Offer Exclusive In-Game Items in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4
- Salsa verde skateboard - July 11-17
- Taco Bell hoodie - July 18-24
- Taco Bell sweatpants - July 25-31
- Verde grip tape - Aug 1-7
- Taco Bell puffer vest - Aug 8-13
Pairing tacos with video games is a match made in heaven for most, so much so that one Minecraft player created the Taco Bell logo within an unusual in-game location, and fans will be able to taste their own Tony Hawk meal through Taco Bell’s website and mobile app. Additionally, Taco Bell rewards members will be in with the chance of winning one of 500 limited-edition skateboard decks, and the chain also has 50,000 codes available for gamers to try the pre-release demo for Pro Skater 3 + 4.
With its release date approaching quickly, Pro Skater 3 + 4 will be joining a host of other day-one games launching on Xbox Game Pass in July. Wheel World, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Grounded 2 will make their debut on Microsoft’s subscription service next month alongside the Pro Skater entry, and the remake is also going to launch on the recently released Nintendo Switch 2 console as well.
