Sword of Convallaria has a few different ways for players to strengthen the characters they summoned using Secret Fates. You can upgrade the character's base stats, but also equip them with gear to further boost specific stats depending on what is equipped.
Gear and weapons can also be upgraded in a few ways and will need additional resources to power up. While strengthening your characters will be the focus at the start of the game, worrying about your weapons and their level will quickly become a major defining factor in how strong your party is. There are multiple classes of characters, with each one only being able to equip specific weapons. The characters that can equip a weapon can be seen by selecting the magnifying glass icon in the top right menu when looking at an item.

Sword of Convallaria has plenty of amazing units to pull for in their gacha system, but re-rolling for the desired unit may require a bit of work.
How To Get Weapons & Gear In Sword Of Convallaria
Gear and weapons will be a random reward players can get after completing story missions, much like Common XP. These rewards will be few and far between, and the real powerful weapons and gear can be obtained through summons. The Mighty Weapons option is a consistent banner that will always be around for players to summon from.
While the name is Mighty Weapons, this banner also rewards players with gear items like as necklaces and hats. Summoning gear will also help players get duplicates of their powerful gear to rank up what they have. Gear is also obtained through events and the Cornucopia, but this depends on the events and season.
How To Advance Gear In Sword Of Convallaria
To advance gear, go into the character menu and select the character who has a gear item equipped. Select the gear item to see the, "Advance" option at the bottom of the screen. Advancing gear can be done ten levels at a time using:
- Radiant Powder
- Elysium Coins
Weapons can also be strengthened by selecting the, "Gear Star Level Up" option along the left side of the screen, to fuse duplicate weapons into your current weapon to raise its star rating. Increasing the star rating for a weapon is a simple boost in stats across the board, but won't increase the maximum level of the weapon.
How To Limit Break Characters In Sword Of Convallaria
Limit breaking characters in Sword of Convallaria is a good way to maximize their potential, but earning enough materials will take time and patience.
How To Increase The Maximum Level Of A Weapon
Once a gear piece reaches its current max level, you can complete a gear breakthrough. This can also be done through the advance menu of that piece of gear. Instead of Radiant Powder, gear breakthroughs will cost:
- Elysium Coins
- Radiant Ore
Gear breakthroughs will only increase the maximum level of a gear piece by ten, and will require additional enhancements to complete a gear breakthrough again. This further adds to the importance of summoning powerful gear and hanging onto it for as long as possible, as you'll end up investing lots of materials into a single piece of gear, gained through spending Stamina at the Radiant Forging Crossing World. It's also best not to try and use multiple of the same gear pieces, and instead use all duplicates to increase the star rating of existing gear.
