As players progress through the main story of Sword of Convallaria, they will unlock new features to help strengthen their characters. One of these systems is the Bond system, which is a simple and semi-passive way to increase all the stats of a character, making it useful for any build on any character.
The bond system has passive and non-passive elements, letting players prioritize various characters at whatever pace they want. For those looking to quickly increase the bond of their characters; here's how to do so.
Sword Of Convallaria: How To Get Common XP
Common XP is used to level up your heroes in Sword Of Convallaria; here's how to get some fast.
What Is Bond & Why Increase It
There are five bond levels to get for each character, with each level giving a 1% increase to all attributes for the character. When fully upgraded, this allows for a 5% boost across the board, which is a noticeable difference as you get further into the game and every stat increase counts to maxing out a character's potential.
Through the bond menu, you can also hear the voice of the characters, read their biographies, and learn more about them through their story after progressing to certain points in the Spiral Of Destinies. At l evel 2 bond, you also unlock the portrait for that character and can make it the main portrait on your account. Other than those gameplay bonuses, there are no story-related or synergy-like bonuses for bond levels.
How To Increase Bond Level
The bond level of a character can be done by going to the bond menu at the bottom of the screen while in Elysium. Here you'll see a list of all characters in the game and that you have summoned, select the character you want to level up and press the button along the bottom left of the screen. Here you'll have two options to increase their bond: Bond Charms and Spirit Of Hearts.
Bond Charms are large sums of Bond XP that can be given to a character for immediate levels, while Spirit Of Hearts are passively earned daily and can be used in any amount on any characters you choose.
Home Decoration & Coziness
Players can also passively earn bond XP by having that character out in Elysium. In your main home, select the "Home Decoration" menu and go to the helmet icon on the left side of the screen. You can place three characters at a time who will earn bond XP based on the Coziness of your decorations. Coziness is determined by your other decorations, with more and better decorations leading to a quick supply of bond XP for placed characters.
Where To Spend Stamina In Sword Of Convallaria
Sword of Convallaria players are limited to playing time with an energy system, but where to spend the stamina each day relies on player necessity.
How To Get Bond Charms & Spirit Of Hearts
Spirit Of Hearts are earned daily and do have a maximum amount that can be stored at once. This makes it important to check your bond menu daily and distribute your Spirit Of Hearts daily to make sure none go to waste. Bond Charms are a bit harder to come by but can be earned in the following ways:
- Cornucopia Rewards
- Challenge Quest Rewards In The Voyage Momento
- Purchased in the Shop for 300 Hope Luxites a piece.
While 300 Hope Luxites may not seem like much, they are needed to purchase Secret Fates which are used to summon new characters and weapons.
