Knowing which character serves best on a roster or which banner is worth pulling on in a gacha game is one of the very first things new players should figure out for themselves. In gacha games, real money and time are on the line, and costly mistakes are easy to make.

Additionally, Sword of Convallaria handles pity differently compared to games like Wuthering Waves and Genshin Impact, which is something to pay special attention to before starting out.

Best Banners To Pull On in Sword of Convallaria

best banners to pull from in sword of convallaria

Sword of Convallaria has five types of banners. The following two are typically the best ones to spend Secret Fates on:

  1. Guaranteed Beginner Banner (for new players)
  2. Debut Banner / Destined Banner (for the rate-up characters)

Best Banner for New Players

For new players, the Guaranteed First Summon Beginner Only Banner is an easy choice as it guarantees a Legendary (SSR) character within the first 30 pulls. This banner functions exactly the same way as the Standard banner, but unlike the Standard banner, its pity is 30 instead of 100. Additionally, new players should avoid pulling on anything other than this banner because of Universal Pity.

The way Universal Pity works is that players are guaranteed a Legendary every 100 pulls, regardless of the banner. Whenever a Legendary is successfully pulled, this pity resets. So, if a new player uses forty summons trying to get a Debut character before switching to the Beginner banner for the next 30 pulls, they'll obtain a Legendary on the 70th pull, and the Universal Pity will reset. But if they pull exclusively on the Beginner Banner right from the start, they'll pull a Legendary in the first 30 pulls and the next 40 summons will end up building towards the next pity.

The Beginner Banner expires roughly a month after an account is first created.

Best Banner for F2P

After the Beginner Banner expires, the best banner to pull from is either the Debut or one of the two Destined Banners, depending on which characters are featured with a rate-up chance. In the current version of Sword of Convallaria (1.0), Gloria is an excellent character to pull for as she is one of the few S-tier characters useful in both PvE and PvP.

On the Destined Banner, Beryl is an incredible unit in the Destroyer Role, and both Col and Dantalion are excellent choices. Since Beryl and Col are both featured on the same Destined Banner, it's a win-win. One caveat to the Destined Banner is that there is no way to choose between the two rate-up characters. Only pull on this banner if you're happy with getting either character.

Sword of Convallaria players are limited to playing time with an energy system, but where to spend the stamina each day relies on player necessity.

Should You Pull on the Weapons Banner

No, you should not. Sword of Convallaria allows players to farm for Legendary weapons during the end-game, making it ill-advised to spend valuable summons on weapon banners because they can technically be obtained via other means. This is especially true for F2P players and low-spenders.
