Other fans were surprised to hear that he cleared both of the games roughly at the same time and within a short span of time, as well. Since both games were released on October 20, with Sakurai's tweet mentioning he beat them being posted on October 23rd, he managed to beat both titles within 2–3 days. This is an impressive feat considering how long it takes to beat Spider-Man 2, with a story-only playthrough ranging between 10–15 hours alone.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Spider-Man 2 both received the same high praise from critics and fans, with Super Mario Bros. Wonder still holding a higher review rating over Insomniac's game as of this writing. Both Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros.
