There's a lot of walking involved in Sun Haven, and it can get very tedious and time-consuming once tasks start piling up on top of each other. Players have a number of options that can make getting from Point A to Point B faster, but in terms of sheer cool factor, nothing quite compares to riding a magical beast.
What are Mounts for in Sun Haven?
Mounts are optional mobility options in Sun Haven that give a 30% movement speed boost when active. There's no reason not to have them in this cozy life sim game, so players might want to get one as soon as possible. Thankfully, unlocking a mount doesn't involve any complicated steps. However, depending on the type of mount they want, players will have to sink in some extra time and effort to get all the materials they need to buy one.
Where to Get a Mount in Sun Haven
There are a number of ways to get mounts in Sun Haven, and the ones players are likely to encounter first are the different stores in each of the major towns. Specifically, these are Blossom's Seasonal Shop in Sun Haven, the Mount Store in Nel'Vari, and the Withergate Carnival in Withergate. To buy a mount, talk to the NPC in charge or interact with the Mount Whistles that are on display.
While each store has different things to offer, it's worth noting that all mounts provide the same movement speed bonus regardless of what they are or where they are bought. Also, the two stores sell mounts for different currencies, so it may be more practical just to get whichever is affordable. Players will need either Seasonal Tokens, Mana Orbs, or Red Tickets to buy a mount.
Apart from purchasable mounts, there are some that can be unlocked by finishing certain objectives. These are:
- Cardboard Box Mount - Craft at a Crafting Table for 100 Cardboard Boxes
- Fish Mount - Collect everything needed for the Large Fish Tank in Sun Haven's museum
- Cerberus Mount - Progress through the story and exchange 5000 Tickets at Dynus' Altar Room
After getting a Mount Whistle, place it on an empty hot bar slot and use it like any other item. The mount will magically appear and automatically provide its movement speed buff. They can be unsummoned by activating the whistle again, using a different item, or casting a skill.
