And Rocksteady's next big title.

Rocksteady confirmed on December 9 that Season 4 of Suicide Squad will be the game's last. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 4 Episode 7 launches December 10, with Episode 8, the game's final piece of new content, arriving on January 14, 2025.

Rocksteady Officially Canceling Updates to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Rocksteady endured layoffs earlier this year, something seen across the entire video game industry. However, Suicide Squad's poor sales were directly cited as a reason for the staff cuts. Rocksteady senior management claimed these layoffs would result in a lower-quality product, which can now seemingly be seen and felt with the latest news regarding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

While Suicide Squad features some of Rocksteady's brilliance within the DC world, including the game's satisfying combat system and interesting characters, the overall package felt lesser compared to the studio's previous works. Since its release in January, Suicide Squad has received numerous updates and content overhauls in an attempt to both further support the game and stir up more interest. In the last few months, Suicide Squad has also been given heavy discounts. While sad, players shouldn't worry, as developers confirmed all online features would continue to be made available, as will previous seasonal and episodic content. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will also remain available for purchase on digital storefronts.
