Task Force X has never looked so good, and in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, players will have access to four core squad members to battle against Brainiac and his goons. With post-launch content assured, Rocksteady Studios will bring in more playable characters to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, but for now, it’s just Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang. Each of these characters has distinct personalities, playstyles, and weaponry to create a unique sense of play for each player that picks them up.

The release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is almost here, and players are bound to have some questions that an FAQ might help with.

Whilst players are free to select any of the four characters in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and swap between them fluidly, it’s best to master one first, due to the level cap being 30. Each of these characters brings something unique and powerful to the table, but which Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League character should you play as?

Harley Quinn

Playstyles

  • Detonator – Explosions are a girl’s best friend
  • Run-N-Gunner – Reckless in battle but quick on her feet
  • Slugger – Up close and chaotic with blunt force

Harley Quinn was once a promising therapist at Arkham Asylum until she was charmed by her star patient, The Joker. Since their mad love brewed, Harleen became Harley Quinn and has been terrorizing Gotham City ever since. Yet, with the death of Joker in the events of Batman: Arkham City, Harley Quinn has been on a quest to prove she’s nobody’s sidekick anymore. Forced into Task Force X by Amanda Waller, Harley has big boots to fill when it comes to taking down her ex’s nemesis, Batman, and the entire Justice League.

  • Heavy Weapons
  • Bludgeon
  • Grapple Gun
  • Bat Drone

Harley Quinn is a character for players who have no regard for their own safety. She’s great at getting up close and personal and dealing some real damage to enemies thanks to her close-range weaponry and her love for explosives. If players enjoy an explosive lifestyle, then Harley Quinn is their best bet for this squad, due to the builds that can be created with her abilities and talents. Harley definitely excels in combat, as players can evade attacks with her gymnastics and hurl grenades toward violent foes. Even her melee weapon is close-range, so players need to stick close to swing their bat/mallet. The use of close-range weapons really allows her to dominate Brainiac’s forces without having to worry about staying aerial.

As for traversal, Harley Quinn perhaps has the weakest movement. Armed with Batman’s former Grapple Gun and a Bat Drone, Harley can swing in the air, but the reliance on momentum can make it a struggle to move fluidly in hard-hitting situations, and Harley might find herself with boots on the ground over other characters.

Players who enjoy a close-range character will enjoy Harley Quinn for the explosive capabilities and hard-hitting smaller guns.

King Shark

Playstyles

  • Artillery – Handle heavy firearms with ease
  • Predator – Unleash as an agile, animalistic brawler
  • Survivor – Godlike powers that take and deal damage

Nanaue is a demigod with a complicated relationship with his father, Kamo. It’s no surprise that King Shark has found himself locked up and is now under the puppet strings of Amanda Waller since he has cannibalistic tendencies and a naive yet bounding curiosity for the lives of humans and other surface dwellers. He’s a heavy hitter, but that by no means makes him the dumb one of the group—just don’t expect him to understand puns and metaphors.

  • Assault Rifles
  • Shotguns
  • Blades
  • Vertical Jumps
  • Horizontal Jumps

King Shark should be judged for his size because he’s the group's tank. King Shark can handle heavy weapons easier than others, and his playstyle compliments this, assuring that with the right talents set up, he will not be slower than his squad mates just because of his use of weapons and his diet of humans. King Shark also has an interesting way of play, as he is more brutish, so players will want to use heavy weapons and a mix of dominating slams and melee strikes, so long as they can brush off the countless amounts of damage that is dealt to them.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League – Trophy/Achievement Guide

This guide is for the players who want to claim victory with the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Platinum Trophy.

When it comes to traversal, King Shark has one of the weaker bouts of movement. He runs like a tank and dives like a tank. Players will feel Nanaeu’s weight with each movement, as he can perform vertical and horizontal leaps thanks to his strengths as a demigod. Whilst these allow him to almost dance in the skies with his aerial dashes, he’ll find himself crashing into the ground on top of heaps of enemies, so he’s not a character to grab for those who want to keep at a distance.

King Shark excels at close-range combat for players who aren’t scared of being a target thanks to his tank-like physiques and brawling talents.

Captain Boomerang

Playstyles

  • Charger – Always be building up to something big
  • Hit-N-Runer – Swift, unpredictable ambusher
  • Ranger – Even a pain at a distance

George “Digger” Harkness may be a foul-mouthed and cowardly Australian only out for himself, but… well, actually, that’s pretty much it. Captain Boomerang has it out for The Flash, and if joining Task Force X means that he has a chance at taking the Scarlet Speedster out once and for all, then he’s in. Just don’t expect him to do the heavy lifting, but do expect him to do a ton of gloating, if the mission goes well.

Weapons

Melee

Traversal

  • Sniper Rifles
  • Shotguns
  • SMGs
  • Boomerangs
  • Speed Force Gauntlet

Captain Boomerang’s playstyle compliments his personality rather well, as armed with a Speed Force gauntlet, he’s able to move around the battlefield rather quickly, taking out his targets before they even have time to turn around and smell his unwashed scent. Boomerang is one of the most fun squad members to play due to the fact that his melee weapons, the boomerangs, play a crucial part in his arsenal. These weapons may act as his melee and abilities, but they can be used at a decent range, meaning a shield harvest can be done from a bit of a distance. Outside the boomerangs, Harkness is complimented by shotguns and snipers the most, as it allows him to use the Speed Force to a great effect of staying behind enemies, with fast and hard-hitting attacks before he gets shot himself. He’s the most nimble of the four, requiring fast wits and intense speeds to avoid being shot down.

Traversal is a key component of Captain Boomerang’s combat experience, and with the Speed Force Gauntlet, Boomerang can run around Metropolis with the same thrills as his nemesis. Captain Boomerang can throw a Speed Force boomerang to get himself in the air, and he can also run at a rapid pace, dodging bullets and getting to enemies faster than they can see. His Speed Force dashing is one of the more fun mobility sets of the squad.

Captain Boomerang has a learning curve to his playstyle, but to players who enjoy learning to master a new character, and being rewarded with a fast-moving, hard-hitting, yet sensitive target, he’s definitely a must-try.

Deadshot

Playstyles

  • Bomber – Take to the skies and drop payloads
  • Sharpshooter – Accurate from altitude and range
  • Tactician – Deadly and utilitarian with his custom wrist cannons

Floyd Lawton comes out of retirement for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League after discovering his cred has been challenged by an impostor, as seen in Batman: Arkham City with the fake Floyd Lawton. This impostor claimed the title of the master marksman who never misses, so the real Floyd Lawton took him out, drawing attention to himself and winding up under the care of Amanda Waller. He’s got the most skills with weapons, and the natural leader of the group thanks to the fact that he isn’t criminally insane. Yet, one would have to be a tad crazy to think they can take on the Justice League.

  • Sniper Rifles
  • Assault Rifles
  • Pistols
  • Wrist Cannons
  • Jetpack

Deadshot might be the safest pick for new players of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, because he has everything someone might want in their character. He has a great set of weapons for long-range, medium-range, and close-range battles, thanks to his proficiency in guns. He can also deal damage whilst airborne thanks to his jetpack, allowing players to dominate both ground and sky, never having to limit themselves to just one or the other. His use of wrist cannons and his bout of accuracy also makes him an easy character to use when players get their hands on him, providing a safe but equally fun way to play.

Deadshot is a master of warfare, but his traversal steals the show this time around. Deadshot’s jetpack allows him to fly in short bursts, and he’s not just limited to going up or forward. With Deadshot’s jetpack, he can easily soar in the sky, dominating most Riddler AR challenges as well as keeping in the air whilst aiming his weapons, something other squad members cannot do.

Deadshot is a great choice for new players, or to those who just enjoy a versatile character, capable of combat from the ground and the sky at any range of efficiency.
