With the recent launch of Subnautica: Below Zero, Unkown World Entertainment has again delivered on a stunning yet creepy survival game, meant to entice players to again embark on an adventure into the mysterious ocean depths. But in order to craft some of the more high-tech vehicles, players will once again need to learn how to build the Mobile Vehicle Bay.
In the world of Subnautica, players can learn to build equipment by first scavenging the ocean floor for pieces of the leftover technology from the Aurora. By scanning these fragments, players are able to unlock various blueprints for a number of tools and vehicles.
The Mobile Vehicle Bay is used to craft advanced equipment, such as the Prawn Suit and Seatruck, by using raw materials. Similar to crafting in Subnautica, players will need to first obtain the Mobile Vehicle Bay blueprint. This can be achieved by collecting three Mobile Vehicle Bay fragments, which can be found in both the Twisty Bridges and the Arctic Kelp Caves.
Mobile Vehicle Bay Fragments Locations in Subnautica Below Zero
The Twisty Bridges are located within a deep trench, bordering the Shallow Twisty Bridges and the Arctic Kelp Forests. However, the region is also located above the Deep Twisty Bridges, which harbors some aggressive and dangerous sea creatures. In the Twisty Bridges, players can locate fragments along the cliffsides and floors. They can also find a number of resources such as Copper ore, Crystalline Sulfur, Quarts, Silver Ore, Titanium, and of course fragments.
Players looking to find Mobile Vehicle Bay fragments within the Arctic Kelp Caves will need to head over to the Arctic Kelp Forests, which border the Twisty Bridges area. The Arctic Kelp Caves make up the system of underwater caves running beneath these forests. Dive down towards the roots of the giant kelp to enter the caves.
Here, players can find fragments littering the cave floors as well as through searching among the many Sea Monkey Nests. These Nests can be a good source for collecting various different types of fragments.
While the development team did make some big changes to the game, one constant that remains is that players still need to remain aware of their oxygen levels while exploring. One way to replenish their oxygen supply is by utilizing the many Oxygen Plants scattered about. These plants can be found in both the Twisty Bridges as well as the Arctic Kelp Caves, as well as in other areas.
After the player has collected three Mobile Vehicle Bay fragments, they will have unlocked its blueprint. The recipe calls for 1x Titanium Ingot, 1x Lubricant, and 1x Computer Chip. Once all the resources have been gathered, players will be able to construct the Mobile Vehicle Bay using the Fabricator. They will now be able to build more advanced deep-sea diving equipment to aid them on their adventures.
Subnautica: Below Zero is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
