Studio BONES announced this Tuesday that it has separated its production department and formed a new company called BONES FILMS Co. Ltd, with the new company's leadership including representative directors, Yoshihiro Oyabu, as well as BONES founder and president Masahiko Manami. This news is following the company's 25th anniversary celebrations, which have spawned a four-part documentary titled Bones 25: Dreaming Forward, which was released in February and can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
The news has led to speculation that the various titles released by the production studio in the past which have been left high and dry will be continued by BONES FILMS, including Noragami, which is celebrating the 10th year since its anime was released; The Case Study of Vanitas, and various others.
A Gachiakuta Anime Is Confirmed To Be In Production
The rumours are put to bed as Gachiakuta author Kei Urana confirms that an anime adaptation is in production.
About BONES
A Legendary Production Studio
Studio BONES was established in 1998 by Minami, alongside other former Sunrise (Code Geass) staff members, namely Hiroshi Ōsaka (assistant animation director, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie) and Toshihiro Kawamoto, and the president and founder has presided over many BONES productions, including both iterations of the critically acclaimed anime adaptations of Hiromu Arakawa's Fullmetal Alchemist; GOSICK; Blast of Tempest; UN-GO; Darker Than Black; Psalms of Planets Eureka Seven; Noragami; Bungo Stray Dogs; My Hero Academia; Mob Psycho 100; Carole and Tuesday and many more.
In 2024, BONES' original anime, Metallic Rouge aired during the Winter season. The 2020s have been very busy for the production studio, with various films and TV anime released in that time, and the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Kei Urana's Gachiakuta coming in 2025. The news of the Studio BONES offshoot studio has caused rumblings in the rumour mill, with it believed that the sequels to the seemingly abandoned Noragami, and the immensely popular Case Study of Vanitas are on the horizon, but at this point in time, no official sources have ratified these claims. It would be major cause for celebration if the aforementioned were in fact the case, but for now, we can only hope.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
