As will happen with more Switch 2 releases, the title will come on a Game-Key Card instead of a physical disc, but to make matters worse, Street Fighter 6: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition will have its DLC on a code, which will only last for two years. This means that gamers who purchase the edition in 2027 and beyond will simply not be able to download the DLC characters at all. This is potentially a very frustrating catch for gamers who intended to purchase this edition, as it seems that Capcom could have included the DLC in the Game-Key Card, anyway.

Street Fighter 6: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition includes eight DLC characters: Rashid, A.K.I., Ed, and Akuma from Year 1, and M. If gamers buy the physical edition of Street Fighter 6 for the Switch 2, it’s recommended to use the code for the DLC immediately to avoid losing access to these new fighters.
