Prior to Street Fighter 5's top eight finals at the fighting game tournament EVO 2017, Capcom decided to unveil the next character to be added to the roster through downloadable content, with Abigail being the fourth of six DLC brawlers included in the game's Season 2 pass. As it so happens, Abigail is originally from the publisher and developer's Final Fight franchise, with the absolutely massive figure being the latest to crossover into the Street Fighter series, following Hugo's addition in Street Fighter 3: Second Impact.

For those excited for Abigail's arrival in Street Fighter 5, the wait won't be too much longer from now, as he's due to be added to the game on July 25, 2017, following the second season's release of Akuma, Kolin, and Ed. According to reception for the Final Fight character's reveal for the title's roster, however, many fans are less than enthused, saying that they would have much rather been able to play as someone like Q from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike.

That said, though, with two more brand new characters left to be announced for Street Fighter 5's Season 2, Q could very well follow the inclusion of Abigail. Nevertheless, if a leak from October 2016 is correct, then Menat – a disciple of fortune teller Rose – and Guy's teacher from Final Fight, Zeku, could be the last two to be added this season. Even so, it doesn't rule out the possibility of more fan favorites coming to Street Fighter 5 through the game's Season 3 DLC.
