Popular content creator and former Twitch streamer xQc has recently admitted to cheating on his girlfriend Fran while one on of the latter's recent streams. The new detail changes the public perception of the situation quite a bit, with xQc having previously claimed the separation was a mutual as well as an amicable one.
XQc, whose real name is Felix Lengyel, is a prolific Canadian streamer who initially gained recognition for competing in Overwatch. Previously one of streaming platform Twitch's biggest stars, the personality made waves around the streaming world when he signed an unheard-of two-year, $100 million dollar contract with rival platform Kick. The contract amount is so astronomically high that it's been met with skepticism from other creators, including Logan Paul doubting the legitimacy of the $100 million Kick deal, although xQc was quick to respond - unlike the situation with Fran.
In a video posted on Fran's Twitch channel, the content creator discusses the details surrounding the end of their relationship, as well as playing clips of her now-ex being called out for lying by another streamer. This later moves on to Fran giving xQc a call directly, which, after some perceived technical difficulties, turns into him popping into the stream via a video call. Attempting to set the record straight, citing his "juicers" were calling her a liar, Fran asks xQc to confirm or deny the fact that he cheated on her, to which he replies, "I will confirm."
Clip starts at 2:21:40.
Owning up to his actions, the video goes on to show xQc discuss how a "lengthy segment" addressing the issue eventually is in order, and that he wasn't going to attempt to justify what had happened. The news of their breakup likely comes as a shock to both of their fans, as some had thought that xQc and Fran were engaged just a couple of months ago. The pair were appearing in each other's Instagram stories, with one of xQc's post featuring an engagement ring-wearing hand believed to have been Fran's.
In addition to his romantic relationship issues, xQc seems to also be fighting other online creators, particularly reaction-based content. Under fire over the last few weeks for his reaction content, the streamer and h3h3 Productions have had an increasingly public debate on the validity of such content, coming to a head recently where h3h3 creator Ethan Klein leaked his DMs to xQc, showing the debate getting nastier after their livestreamed one.
Although xQc may seem embattled with his personal relationships, his relationship with money seems better than ever. In addition to dropping $9,000 dollars in an unsuccessful attempt to find Magic: The Gathering's One Ring card, xQc also flaunted a super expensive watch recently. Part of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak collection, the watch reportedly costs between the $450,000 - $500,000 range, showing xQc is wasting no time utilizing his Kick contract money.
