The fourth season of Stranger Things came out back in 2022, and after a wait of three long years, Netflix has finally released Season 5 of the popular series. The fifth season doesn't waste any time and takes us right away to the battlefield, which, frankly, is the entire Hawkins town right now. Our favorite characters are ready to finish off Vecna for good, but hey, this enemy won't go down that easily.

In fact, Vecna has come back even stronger this time, and he has almost broken the barrier between the real world and the Upside Down. But we've only seen the first four episodes of the new season, and the fight against this evil psychic will continue in Volume 2 of Stranger Things Season 5. And now that fans have watched the first volume, everyone is probably growing restless for the second volume.

Stranger Things Season 5 Lost Me at 50 Seconds In

The highly-anticipated fifth season of Netflix's Stranger Things definitely gets off on the wrong foot and sets a bad first impression.

Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 Will Release In December

Yes, Fans Will Have To Wait An Entire Month To Watch The Next Three Episodes

  • Stranger Things Season 5 Part 2 will release on December 25th, 2025.
  • The Second Volume will feature the next three episodes of the latest season.

Stranger Things Season 5 will feature a total of eight episodes, but Netflix has split the season into three parts. Volume 1 has arrived on Netflix with the first four episodes on November 26, but Volume 2 will release on December 25 with the next three episodes. Finally, Volume 2, with a single, long episode, will be released on December 31.

Sure, a month-long wait for the next episodes is frustrating, especially when we had to wait three years for the new season. Fortunately, though, the gap between Volume 2 and Volume 3 isn't that long. In a way, Netflix has made sure that we can only talk about Stranger Things between Christmas and New Year's Eve.

Spoiler Alert Below This Point!

What Can We Expect From Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2?

Vecna Will Face Not One, But Three Powered-Up Kids In The Second Part

In the first Volume, we saw Eleven and Hopper infiltrating the military base in the Upside Down. They were hoping to find Vecna in the base, but they found Eight, or Kali Prasad, being held captive by Dr. Kay. Yes, Eleven's long-lost sister has returned, and she'll possibly join the Hawkins gang in this fight against Vecna. After Season 2, we will again see Eleven and Eight being a duo in Volume 2 of the fifth season.

At the same time, Max and Holly are figuring out a plan to escape Henry's mind prison. Well, they'll surely escape in Volume 2, and Max will finally reunite with Lucas and the rest of her friend s. Max will possibly come out of the coma in the sixth episode, which is titled "Escape From Camazotz."

The next big thing in Volume 1 was surely Will's power-up. Technically, the boy learns how to use the Hive Mind to his advantage. He was connected to Vecna and the Upside Down monsters, whether he liked it or not. For a very long time, Vecna used this connection to spy on the real world through Will. But it seems like Henry made a mistake by trash-talking to Will and threatening his family and friends. That's because in the final moments of Episode 4, Will uses the Hive Mind to tap into Vecna's powers. He not only stops the monsters from attacking people, but also kills them in a Vecna-style manner.

What does this mean? Well, it means that Vecna will now have to face the collective power of Eleven, Eight, and, of course, Will. But even then, this guy won't go down easily. He has become incredibly strong after his last encounter with the gang in Season 4. On top of that, he has successfully captured twelve kids from Hawkins. So, he has everything he needs to take over the world, but we all know that's not going to happen. There will be a lot of bloodshed, but Eleven and the gang will eventually defeat Henry Creel one last time.
