Summary

  • "Stranger Things" Season 5 will be released in three parts, with the finale on December 31st, 2025.
  • Each batch of new episodes will be available at 5 p.m. P.S.T., catering to different time zones.
  • Fans can expect emotional twists as they await the final season and speculate on character fates.

This past weekend was an exciting one for Stranger Things fans as Netflix announced their three-part release schedule for the hit show set in Hawkins, Indiana. Now Netflix has shared how the eight episodes will be split up and what time fans can expect to watch them.

Stranger Things premiered in July 2016 and introduced singular characters such as the awkward, innocent, and kind-hearted Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and equally sweet Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), whose disappearance in the pilot episode is the dark and compelling inciting incident that started everything. Over the past four seasons, new villains like Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) have shaken things up, the Upside Down has gotten more terrifying and complex, and newer characters like Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) have made a big impression. Now, as fans get ready to say goodbye, they're curious about when exactly they can watch the final eight episodes, and Netflix has the answer.

Stranger Things season 5

Netflix announced the episode count for Stranger Things season 5. Four episodes will be released on November 26th, 2025, and three episodes will come out on December 25th, 2025. Then, the series finale will be released on December 31st, 2025. Netflix also shared that each new batch of episodes will be available at 5 p.m. P.S.T.

Before Netflix's announcement as part of their live Tudum event on May 31st, 2025, there was a rumor that the streaming service would put out Stranger Things season 5 in three parts. While there was a report that this was false, it ended up being true. The live event was exciting for fans of Wednesday who got to watch the first six minutes of season 2 and learn about Haley Joel Osment's serial killer role, along with the reveal that Lady Gaga is playing a Nevemore Academy teacher named Rosaline Rotwood. However, there's no doubt that fans hoped to hear when they can expect to watch the final season of the show about Vecna, The Party, and the Upside Down.

What Time Can Fans Expect To Watch Stranger Things Season 5's Three Parts?

  • Canada: 5 p.m. P.S.T. (Vancouver)
  • USA: 5 p.m. P.S.T. (Los Angeles), 8 p.m. E.S.T. (New York)
  • United Kingdom: 1:00 a.m. GMT (London)
  • France: 2:00 a.m. CET (Paris)
  • Italy: 2:00 a.m. CET (Rome)

While there's an argument to be made that it's going to be tough for fans to wait to watch Stranger Things season 5 in three parts, fans are definitely glad that they can watch the final season in 2025. It will be particularly exciting to wach the emotional last episode on New Year's Eve.

Now that everyone knows when these last eight episodes are coming out, there's only one thing left to do: keep trying to guess which characters will live, who will die, and whether Vecna can be defeated once and for all.
