Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is Team Ninja’s take on the world of Final Fantasy. Building off of Team Ninja’s Nioh foundations, Stranger of Paradise shows promise as a challenging action RPG that builds upon the universe of Final Fantasy thanks to erratic yet charming characters in this alternate retelling of the first game from 1987.

Since its reveal at E3 2021, Stranger of Paradise has proven to be a divisive game within the gaming community. Many fans criticized the game’s presentation and created multiple internet memes about how Jack, Final Fantasy Origins’ main character, is so fixated on destroying Chaos. However, after releasing two demos for Stranger of Paradise and official critic reviews of coming out, it appears that the journey with Jack and his gang will be a fun yet messy ride.
