As you work on growing the bazaar in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, you’ll need all kinds of resources to craft, upgrade, and complete quests. One of the most useful resources you’ll come across is Iron.

You will first be asked to find Iron pretty early in the game during the quest called Mining Practice. In this quest, Lloyd asks you to bring him 20 rocks and two Iron. The rocks are easy enough to collect, but the Iron can be a little tricky to get when you’re just starting out. How to Get Iron in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar

When you first talk to Lloyd, he will introduce you to the mining feature. He’ll also give you a Hatchet, which can be used not only for mining but also for farming. Once you have the Hatchet, you will be able to start mining and collecting materials like Iron.

There are lots of Iron rocks around Zephyr Town, but most of them are locked when you first start the game. For example, the Mountains have plenty of rocks with Iron, but you won’t be able to mine there right away.

If you are just starting out and need Iron for Lloyd’s request, head over to the windmill on the west side of the map. You’ll find a few Iron rocks there. It’s not a huge amount, but it will be enough to complete Lloyd’s quest.

These rocks by the windmill respawn, so you can come back later to mine more Iron.

Once you’ve made some progress, you can also buy Iron from Lloyd at the bazaar. The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey. One Iron Ore costs 210 G. This makes it hard to stock up early in the game, but it’s still a handy option if you only need a small amount and don’t feel like mining.
