Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is a relaxing farming simulator where players start a new life in Forgotten Valley, owning their dad's old farm. The farm includes space for various animal species and crop fields. Growing crops is important to generate a steady income and expand their facilities.

Crop seeds will turn into sellable produce if players water them regularly. All crops are graded based on how well they were raised, and if players use fertilizer daily, they'll have higher grades and can be sold for more gold. However, getting fertilizer is costly, so this guide has everything players need to know to get fertilizer for free in the A Wonderful Life remake.

How to Get Fertilizer for Free in A Wonderful Life

A Wonderful Life Fertilizer Maker

Players will learn quickly that they must spend money to earn money in A Wonderful Life. They begin the game with a free cow and a small amount of gold. Players can also purchase crop seeds from day one by visiting Vesta's Farm. Crops take several days to grow, but they can be helped by watering them and using fertilizer.

Fertilizer can also be bought from Vesta's Farm for 20G, but using it multiple times a day quickly gets pricey. Luckily, there is a way players can get fertilizer for free using a Fertilizer Maker and the land's resources. The Fertilizer Maker is a piece of equipment that can be bought for 45,000G using the farm Ledger.

A Wonderful Life Fertilizer Maker

After ordering the Fertilizer Maker, it will be ready in about a day. Players can then insert any item they want into the Fertilizer Maker, and it will turn into multiple bags of fertilizer.

Fish, Flowers, Herbs, and Digsite Artifacts can all be acquired for free. The Digsite is located on the north side of Forgotten Valley and is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, except when the traveling salesman, Van, comes to town.

A Wonderful Life

Fish are found in the ponds, rivers, and oceans around Forgotten Valley using a Fishing Rod. Van will have one for sale when he visits for 500G. Flowers and Herbs grow naturally and can be harvested daily. If players put them into the Fertilizer Maker daily, they'll always have fertilizer.

A Wonderful Life

Players can also buy Fertilizer Spreaders, which automatically spread fertilizer over the crop fields as long as it is full. There are three available, but they cost 60,000G a piece, so it will take some time to get all of them.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is now available for PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
