It has been almost a month since Pokemon Scarlet and Violet revealed its official release date to the public. The latest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer shared more details about the game for the community to enjoy, and this included the introduction of new Pokemon such as Pawmi, Smoliv, and Lechonk. Now, it seems fans still cannot get over Lechonk, with one fan even dedicating an original stop-motion animation that they produced to the new hog Pokemon.
The Pokemon Company has already updated the official website with most of the information revealed in the upcoming video game’s second trailer. However, the development team has yet to unveil the name of the region in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, allowing fans to draw their own speculations about the game’s location and setting. Nevertheless, given how prolific the community is in producing new fan art, it seems Pokemon fans are thoroughly enjoying the newly introduced pocket creatures, no matter their limited number.
One Pokemon fan recently shared the original stop-motion animation they created that focused on the new hog Pokemon Lechonk. In Nico_Dayo's Reddit post, their short video showcased a Lechonk figure that seemed to be hunting through some bushes to gather berries. According to the artist, they created the Lechonk figure themselves and even shared a link to their tutorial video on how they produced the figure. Given how certain types of pigs are utilized to hunt for truffles in real life, Nico_Dayo likely used that as the inspiration for Lechonk hunting berries for their cute stop-motion animation.
Nico_Dayo is one of the many Pokemon fans that have produced fan art based on the new pocket creatures from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Though most members of the community seem very enamored by Lechonk, others have also dedicated as much time to Smoliv, Pawmi, and the legendary Pokemon Koraidon and Miraidon. As the launch draws nearer and the game's development team reveal more new Pokemon to be included in the 9th Generation, the community will likely have a lot more resources to fuel their creativity.
The second Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer only revealed a handful of new pocket creatures, and fans are likely hoping that the development team will unveil more information in future updates. With a whole new region to explore in the new video game, the Pokemon community is likely highly interested to know more about possible region-exclusive Pokemon, new Eevee evolutions, shiny variants, and more.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet releases on November 18 for the Nintendo Switch.
