Now, the PlayStation Blog has revealed a big Stellar Blade update for November 20, a date which will also mark the arrival of Stellar Blade’s Nier: Automata DLC. According to the announcement, the bizarre Nier: Automata character Emil will appear for the first time in Stellar Blade’s world, and gamers will be able to acquire 11 different collaboration-special items from Emil’s Shop. These items will lead to a “more enriched world” that will “intertwine the best of both games.” No more details about the DLC have been revealed yet, but the post shared a few images of the Nier: Automata’s protagonist 2B in the Stellar Blade world.

Stellar Blade Will Get Nier: Automata DLC, Photo Mode, Four New Outfits, and More on November 20

Fans will also be glad to know that the eagerly awaited Photo Mode is finally coming to Stellar Blade as part of the update. Photo Mode was first revealed back in July, and originally planned for release in August, but it was delayed, which caused some complaints among the Stellar Blade fanbase. The update will also bring four new outfits for Eve, as well as one new accessory. With the update, players will get lip-sync support for six additional languages: French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, and Latin American Spanish. Other improvements include characterization options, such as removing Eve’s ponytail and some combat tweaks.

The upcoming November 20 patch comes on the heels of Stellar Blade’s 1.008 update. This recent update did not add more content to the base game but included PS5 Pro support for Stellar Blade. Soon before the launch of Sony’s new PS5, Shift Up shared some images of the game running in the new Pro and Pro Max modes, which offered improved resolutions and frame rates. After the next update, it’s unknown if Shift Up will continue to release periodical Stellar Blade updates. Not only is the team working on a PC port for the game, but there are currently rumors that Stellar Blade 2 is in development.
