After defeating the Tachy boss in Stellar Blade, EVE will gain access to a lot more missions and requests both around Zion and the Bulletin Board. Several of these new quests can be completed after progressing through the story.
One of the Bulletin Board side quests asks players to find a scavenger named Frank, who hasn't returned from an expedition to retrieve items from a bomb-filled area in the Great Desert. The buyer is offering double what they offered Frank since the mission is deemed dangerous.

How To Access The Great Desert In Stellar Blade
After defeating Tachy and watching the cutscene, Adam will request to speak to EVE at the safehouse in Xion. After the scene reveals more story details, Adam will fly the ship to the Great Desert area.
It’s wise to accept as many side quests as possible before venturing into the Desert area, as many of the quests are in close proximity, allowing for easier completion.
Where To Find Frank In The Great Desert Of Stellar Blade
The Great Desert is home to a lot of new and dangerous foes for players to deal with, like Lurkers, which look like the Demogorgons from Stranger Things, and other large creatures. If you just want to head straight to Frank's location, however, the Southeastern area of the map is where you should go. Make sure you mark the "Where's the Item?" Quest on your map so that it's easier to navigate the sand.
- Keep heading southeast until you reach the destroyed overpass.
- Stick to the left side of the overpass, continue in the direction of the map, and walk along the outside of the metal fencing.
- You'll likely bump into a Lurker in this area that will attack from underground. You can run, but it's better to deal with it now.
There's another Bulletin Board quest that requires EVE to kill some Lurkers in the Great Desert, so it's better to kill them along the way if they attack EVE. Doing so will allow you to collect the rewards for two quests in one.
- You'll eventually reach an area with explosive crates and must work your way through said crates in order to get to Frank's body and collect his bag.
Dealing With The Bombs
The crates will explode even if EVE doesn't touch them. So, hold down L2/LT and press down on the d-pad. Change your ammo type to Slug and clear a path for EVE to walk safely to Frank's body.
After a few explosions, an old school bus will fall and make the path even tighter. Again, clear the path with the Slug ammo until you reach Frank's body to examine it. Collect his bag and opt to return to the Bulletin Board to collect 2,500 Gold and x4 Vitcoin for completing the "Where's the Item?" Quest.
