Steamworld Heist 2: The Best Skills For Each Job

Steamworld Heist II is an indie game that allows players to take on the role of Captain Leeway, a captain whose sole purpose is to figure out what is wrong with the water in the Great Sea. Along the way, players will meet different crewmates who can acquire different Jobs.

While these crewmates all have a default Job, players will be able to change their Job to any of the six available within the game. When combined with the best hats and skills possible, these Jobs can create amazing characters. Here are the best skills for each Job.

While a crewmate has a main Job, they can obtain skills from secondary Jobs (which is an achievement).

Boomer Job - Best Skills

The Boomer is a ranged attacker that uses explosives as a way to deal damage. They are a Job that requires them to keep their distance and hide behind cover so that they can survive.

Fortify - This skill strengthens any cover that they are hiding behind.

Slot Machine - This skill allows players to equip an additional Utility Item

Mine - This skill creates a landmine in front of the character
- Other Jobs that may want this skill: Engineer and Sniper

Brawler Job - Best Skills

Brawlers are essentially the go-to tanks within the game. They are designed to take on anything that the game throws at them and still survive.

Hard Shell - This skill increases their armor, effectively ensuring they can survive.

Blast Shield - This skill reduces the damage of explosives to 1
- Other Jobs that may want this skill: Boomers
Payback - This skill causes more damage the next turn if the character has been damaged during their turn

Engineer Job - Best Skills

Engineers are the main buffers and healers of the game. They are supporting the crewmates who are taking on the tough battles.

Build Cover - This skill builds cover in front of characters so they can hide behind them.

Maintenance Protocol: - Heals 4 HP to all crewmates in a specific area

Flanker Job - Best Skills

The Flanker is a close-combat Job that focuses on dealing damage.

Sidestep - This skill will teleport the character to a new spot.
- Other Jobs that may want this skill: All
Nimble Feet - The skill adds +1 to the character's movement, allowing them to get out of situations quicker.
- Other Jobs that may want this skill: Snipers and Boomers (to ensure they have cover)
Cool - Reduces cooldowns by 1

Reaper Job - Best Skills

The Reaper Job is a tank-like job. They are made to be able to dive deep into the fighting and make it out alive.
