Steam users that want to add yet another free game to their digital libraries have until February 9 to do so. Steam free game giveaways have been happening at an even more frequent pace as of late, with a lot of freebies up for grabs since last holiday season. Historically, the free Steam game giveaways slow down significantly after the holidays, but that hasn't really been the case for 2026 so far.

There have been multiple free Steam games available in 2026, with a variety of small indie games given away in January and more given away in February. In fact, right now, Steam users can claim Arabian Gulf for free on Steam, giving them the chance to play the single-player survival game at literally zero cost. Arabian Gulf is free on Steam until February 8 at 12:00pm CST, so Steam users should be sure to snag it while they still can. In the meantime, there's a little more time to claim the latest Steam free game, as it will be up for grabs until February 9.

Until February 9 at 12:00pm CST, Steam users have the chance to claim Magellania for free. Magellania is described as a hardcore sci-fi RPG where players can defeat their enemies "with the power of love, friendship, and violent military aggression." A tactical RPG first released in 2021, Magellania is about a cosmic prince that invades other kingdoms after they turn down his birthday party invitations. The game utilizes a turn-based combat system and is said to feature an "extensive post-game," so genre fans should definitely consider giving it a look. There aren't a ton of reviews for Magellania readily available, but what has been logged on Steam has given the game a "Positive" overall rating.

Free Steam Games Right Now

Between Arabian Gulf and Magellania, Steam users have at least two freebies to claim right now, but as always, PC gamers willing to use other platforms can get even more free games. In fact, one of the key pillars of the Epic Games Store's strategy to draw users away from Steam is by offering free games on a weekly basis. As it so happens, a fresh batch of free Epic Games Store games has just been added to the store.

Until February 12 at 10:00am CST, Epic Games Store users can snag Botany Manor and Poison Retro Set for free. Botany Manor is a critically-acclaimed game and one of the more notable Epic Games Store free games given away in 2026 so far, so users should definitely be sure to grab it, especially if they like puzzle games. Botany Manor and Poison Retro Set will be the Epic Games Store free games until next week, at which point they will be replaced by two other free games.

The Epic Games Store usually announces its free games in advance, and so PC gamers already know exactly what to expect from next week's freebies. Nobody Wants to Die will be free on the Epic Games Store from February 12 to February 19, as will The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark. It's anyone's guess as to what Epic Games Store free games will replace those two titles, but we'll have more information on that front next week.
