Released in December 2017 by solo developer Ttabester, Snake Eyes Dungeon blends roguelike gameplay with dice-roll combat and compact dungeons, encouraging multiple runs through various meta progression mechanics. It is designed to be as accessible as possible, with bite-sized levels that keep individual gameplay sessions fairly short, but are still packed with enough rewards to make stat numbers go up, tempting players into trying "just one more" run.

On September 29, Snake Eyes Dungeon received a 100% discount on Steam, consequently becoming free to claim. The newly launched deal will be live until Friday, October 3, concluding at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 7pm CET. A four-day window is a fairly standard duration for Steam freebies offered by GrabTheGames, the publisher of Snake Eyes Dungeon that often uses 100% discounts to promote ongoing sales.
In this particular instance, GrabTheGames appears to be giving away Snake Eyes Dungeon to advertise two other products. One of them bundles the title with PC roguelike Luck and Loot into a two-pack that's currently available for $6.21, a 52% discount offering $6.64 in savings. The other is a collection with a self-explanatory "RPG Bundle" moniker, which includes Snake Eyes Dungeon, strategy RPG Rencounter, and retro role-playing game Crown Champion: Legends of the Arena. Typically priced at $11.97, this tri-pack is presently offered at a 54% discount, bringing it down to $5.53.
Snake Eyes Dungeon has seen frequent sales since its 2017 release, dropping as low as $0.49. However, this newly introduced promotion marks the first time ever that Tetabester's dice-rolling dungeon crawler is being given away on Valve's storefront. The promo coincides with the start of the Steam Autumn Sale 2025, although it doesn't appear to be connected to it. Valve's latest sale will run until October 6.

Many more freebies are likely to materialize in Q4 2025. Regarding other upcoming promotions on Valve's storefront, the week-long Steam Scream 4 Fest is scheduled for October 27, and will be followed by another seven-day event in the form of Animal Fest on November 10.
