Spirit Cube Fragments in Starsand Island are the core material needed to make Spirit Cubes. However, unlike normal ores, these fragments aren't available from destroyed rocks around the Moonlit Forest. Instead, you need to mine rocks until you get Uncommon Ore Chunks or Rare Ore Chunks. Then, analyze the Ore Chunks at the Ore Analyzer, and hope that it yields a Spirit Cube Fragment.

There are three types of Ore Chunks. The first is Common Ore Chunk, which are the ones you can find in the early areas of the Moonlit Forest. Unfortunately, these don't give a Spirit Cube Fragment.

Instead, you must reach the midsection of the Moonlit Forest to start getting Uncommon Ore Chunks.

Once you get to the deepest side, you will also start finding Rare Ore Chunks, which can give a Spirit Cube Fragment. Spirit Cube Fragments are the main material to make Spirit Cubes. Here are the available Spirit Cubes and how to make them:

Meanwhile, 3 Spirit Cube II are needed to make a Robot Terminal. This building can host up to 12 robots to do certain chores, such as collecting items, cleaning up debris, harvesting plants, chopping wood, or even mining ores. Bug Trap also needs 2 Spirit Cube II.

Finally, Spirit Cube III helps you make endgame items, such as the Robots required for the Robot Terminal and the Teleporter. You can place Teleporters all over the island to enable fast travel to places you need to visit frequently.
