Where to Find Gold Ore in Starsand Island

The first place that Starsand Island players will find gold ore is near the doorway leading away from the Crystalith Hideout camp. These gold veins can be on the left and right sides of the doorway, but typically don't extend beyond it. This area is good for getting a little gold ore, but players will need to return every day if they need a lot of gold.

Players will also find a small cluster of gold ore veins on a hill between Mural Valley and Azure Bay. The fastest way to reach this hill is by walking away from Mural Valley on the path toward Azure Bay. You will see a ramp along the right side of the wall, which you will need to climb up.

There is a log bridge on top of this ramp. Walk across it and turn left to see three tall stones standing side by side. There will be rocks containing gold ore scattered around these stones.

You can light up these tall rocks by breaking three Gravecrystals in the area. Doing so will give you a treasure chest.

What Pickaxes Can Mine for Gold?

The crafting recipe for the Impact Hammer in Starsand Island

To mine gold, Starsand Island players will need to upgrade their pickaxe to an Impact Hammer. The Impact Hammer can mine multiple ores at once, making it easy for players to mine clustered gold veins.

The recipe for the Impact Hammer can be purchased from Zerine's store after players have become Junior Crafters. All the ingredients needed for this recipe can be crafted using a Cutter 2, a Gear Smith, a Furnace 1, and a Worktable 2.

Completing Zerine's Junior Crafter Quest and her Crafter Trials is an easy way to get your equipment upgraded so you can craft the Impact Hammer.

The ingredients required to craft the Impact Hammer include the following:

Hardwood Planks x4
Iron Sheets x4
Radiant Crystals x2
Bronze x3
Impulse Pickaxe x1

What is Gold Used For in Starsand Island?

Gold has three main uses in Starsand Island. The first two uses are the most important, while the third comes in handy if you have excess gold and need money fast:

Crafting items, including the Golden Slingshot and Cosmic Guildpitcher.
Fulfilling villager requests, whether they want the raw gold ore or items crafted from it.
Selling to Zerine for quick cash.

Zerine will purchase gold ores for 16 coins each. Since gold is harder to find than other ores, this price is a little low, so we recommend holding onto your gold ores for future upgrades, requests, and crafting endeavors.

How to Purchase Gold Ore in Starsand Island

When players reach the Junior Crafter level, they will unlock a few new upgrades in the Workpedia. Most importantly, they will unlock the Supply Boost upgrade. This upgrade will allow Zerine to begin selling raw materials in her store.

Players will need to become Senior Crafters to purchase gold ore from Zerine. Zenrie will sell gold ore for 25 coins, and will stock up to 50 ores for players who have maxed out their Supply Boost upgrade.
