How to Unlock the Beach Festival Event in Starsand Island
Unlocking or meeting the conditions to trigger the event's quests can be done through progression; however, a few things are required from you. Firstly, the Crafting and Exploration professions are key paths, as you will need to craft resources requested by the vendors and have the right crafting stations.
The Moonlit Forest must also be unlocked before the festival begins, as you can mine for various resources at the Moonlit Forest that you will need during the event preparation phase. Lastly, it would be advised to have a Skateboard or Rollerblades crafted or rent a scooter to make traversal much easier during the Beach Festival, as you'll be running around a bit.
How to Prepare for the Beach Festival in Starsand Island
As the Beach Festival runs for three days in-game, the first two days are dedicated to the villagers preparing the location and vendor stalls at Half-Moon Bay. As such, they need your assistance; you can lend a hand by accepting their request and supplying the requested materials.
After waking up to start Day 25 and 26, respectively, you'll receive "The Beach Festival is Coming" quest, in which you are to speak with Solara at the marked location. Do be quick about this, as you'll have 20 minutes to chat to her and complete the various quests around Half-Moon Bay to prepare for the festival event.
If you wish to save as much time as possible in completing these quests, do forage, mine, and craft these items ahead of time. This is so that you can have time to complete other tasks like quests, progress with the professions, improve your friendship with the villagers, and more.

How to Complete the Beach Festival Event in Starsand Island
The day has finally arrived, Day 27, and it's Beach Festival day! All your planning and hard work will pay off, as it's time to participate in the festivities at Half-Moon Bay.
At the start of Day 27, the quest "Ta-da! Beach Festival!" Will be triggered immediately, and you can head to the beach and speak to Solara, but do hurry as this quest is time-limited. After speaking to Solara and exhausting all dialogue, the quest will be completed, and this is where the fun begins.
If you consulted the calendar before leaving the house, the times for all the minigames have been listed; therefore, to kickstart the festival, Crab Herding begins at 8 am in-game time. Head over to the docks near Marston's home and speak to the Crab Boss to inquire about herding crabs before entering the minigame, which every attempt thereafter will cost 100 Coins.
Next is the Offshore Racing minigame, which starts at 10 am by speaking to Delphin and renting a jet ski to participate by interacting with the board. If you gain a top-three finish, you can unlock unique rewards alongside items that you can get for completing the event for the first time.
The Beach Festival Market will be available from 12 pm midday, where you can spend your earned Beach Coins at the vendor stalls throughout the day. If you don't have enough Beach Coins for your purchases, you can always replay the Crab Herding and Offshore Racing minigames before the next event starts.
The Bonfire Party is the next minigame for the Beach Festival, and it's highly advised to do all the minigames, acquire as many Beach Coins as possible, and buy any items you want from the stalls before heading to the stage. The reason is that the Bonfire Party is the final event, which ends the Beach Festival, and you won't be able to participate in the events or visit the market once you've joined the Bonfire Party or when the festival ends at 12 am.
Starsand Island Beach Festival Event: General Tips
There are a few things to consider and keep in mind throughout the course of the Beach Festival event that you won't notice. This will come in handy in the days before the two-day preparations for the event, and it's advised to have advanced with the Crafting profession to unlock blueprints for various tools and crafting stations.
Additionally, you are required to have unlocked the Moonlit Forest area, and to gain access to this area, you will need to have done the first few quests for the Exploration profession when speaking to Zephyria. As such, exploring the Moonlit Forest allows you to farm resources needed for the Beach Festival Day 26 and 26 quests, like Coal, Iron, and Quartz, to name a few.
During the Crab Herding minigame, try not to be in chase with a crab for too long, or it will burrow itself into the sand, and you'll need to redo it with another crab. Also, employ a back-and-forth movement to avoid scaring the crab and guide it to the marked location.
If you're wondering how to speed boost the jet ski during the Offshore Racing minigame, hold the key or button assigned to the Sprint action. Do keep in mind that the jet ski's movement is tied to the speed of the vehicle, so it may not be wise to go all fast and furious on the water, as you may veer off course.
While preparing for the event, you must collect one piece of trash; however, collecting all trash on both days will award you with Coins, Beach Coins, blueprints, resources, and the Beach Festival Treasure Maps. Using the Treasure Maps, you will be guided to the location of Beach Festival Treasure Chests, and opening them rewards you with more Beach Coins, blueprints, recipes, and other items.
It would be wise to track down these treasures on the two days once all the prep quests are completed, as you'll have more time to find them. Likewise, ensure that all activities and related tasks are completed before ending the day with the Bonfire Party, which starts around 7 pm.
