As you progress through StarRupture, you'll find yourself needing all manner of different resources and produce to send to the corporations that landed you on the planet. Sulfur is the hardest natural resource you'll need to get in StarRupture. That's because not only is it less commonly occurring than the likes of Titanium and Wolfram, but it also has a few other requirements in order to actually begin extracting it from Arcadia-7. If you don't know where to start, or feel like you're missing something, then you're in the right place. Here's how to get Sulfur in StarRupture.

How to Get Wolfram Powder in StarRupture

Wolfram Powder is a useful resource to help with your mission on Arcadia-7 in StarRupture. Here's how to get it.

Where to Find Sulfur in StarRupture

First things first, you'll need to find Sulfur before you can even think about extracting it. Sulfur can be found in a few different places on Arcadia-7 and is easily spotted by the yellow fumes that it releases into the air. The whole sulfur deposit will also give the ground a yellow color, and you won't be able to walk on it without suffering corrosion damage.

An early-ish location you can find Sulfur is north of your starting base, past the Griffith's Research Outpost. Continue into the more barren area beyond this and to the northeast you'll be able to see the yellow gas of Sulfur rising from the planet's surface.

We've also found a few other places where Sulfur can be spotted and have included two map screenshots below. Any Sulfur deposits you do find will be marked in yellow on your map, making it easy for you to return to at a later date.

Once you've found Sulfur on the planet's surface, you'll need a special Sulfur Extractor. This can only be unlocked by reaching level 9 with the Slenian Corporation. As such, it's quite a late game resource, so if you're still starting out, don't worry too much. You'll be in a much better position to get this when you actually unlock the Sulfur Extractor.

Now that you've unlocked the Sulfur Extractor, you need to make sure that you've got the Corrosion Res Plasm from the recipe station. This increases your corrosion resistance, which will be important a little later on. The Corrosion Res Plasm recipe requires the following items to be submitted to the Recipe Station:

With this sorted, you now need to wait until a rapture has occurred. Set up a base and habitat near to the Sulfur while you're waiting, as this will make things a lot easier. As soon as a rapture has finished and the temperature has dropped, go outside and walk over to the Sulfur source. You can now place your Sulfur Extractor, power source, and any other elements of the production line that you want.

The reason you need to wait until a rapture has just finished is because the corrosive gas surrounding the Sulfur source is harmful to you (hence the Corrosion Res Plasm), and will prevent you from building while it's there. As soon as a rapture has taken place, you have a short window where the corrosive gas disappears.

As long as the extractor has power, and you've followed these steps, you should now be able to safely extract Sulfur and carry on fulfilling those corporation requests.
