When the Duffer Brothers' show premiered in July 2016, everyone was fascinated by the wild, weird, and creepy world of Hawkins, Indiana. With every subsequent season, fans have become more invested in every character, from scrappy and tough Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) to season 4's heavy metal fan and rebel Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn). Now that the end is near, fans are predicting which characters could die, who could leave Hawkins after high school, and if the battle will truly be over.

Redditor @malyourgal started a recent Reddit thread and wrote that while they would love to see Stranger Things season 5 in summer 2025, they don't think that would happen. They wrote:
"We're almost halfway through the year and there's still no release date or any teasers whatsoever. I was really really hoping for a summer release since season 3 dropping in summer of 2019 was insanely iconic but that's definitely not happening."
It might not be realistic to hope that the new season will come out this summer since Wednesday season 2 is being released in August and September 2025. However, it's hard not to hold out hope that Netflix could surprise fans by announcing soon that Stranger Things season 5 is coming out in July 2025. While that wouldn't be a lot of notice, viewers would be fine with that since they've been waiting since May 2022. Even though this likely won't happen, it was definitely a lot of fun watching season 1 of the hit sci-fi series in the summer of 2016, and it was also exciting when season 3 came out a few summers later.

After all, Vecna has become an iconic villain who is an important part of pop culture.
From the memorable, caring friendships to the many emotional moments, there are so many reasons to look forward to the final season of the Duffer Brothers's series. October 31st also feels like a perfect release date since people would likely be frustrated if they had to wait until December 2025 for new episodes.
Will Stranger Things Season 5 News Be Shared At Tudum 2025?
Netflix is hosting a live event on May 31st, 2025 called Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event, and it seems that there could be some Stranger Things season 5 updates then. According to Netflix.tudum.com, fans can purchase tickets and then stream it at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. Sofia Carson will host the event, and cast members from shows such as Wednesday and Stranger Things will be there. Lady Gaga will also perform, and since no one is sure which character she is playing in Wednesday season 2, fans hope some information could be shared at Netflix Tudum 2025.
While it's possible that the fifth season premiere date could be announced at this event, maybe the trailer will be streamed then. Since there hasn't been a teaser or a trailer yet, this would be an exciting moment, and fans would definitely be thrilled to see a glimpse of what they can expect. Of course, even if fans have to wait until the last month of 2025 for the end of Eleven's story, it will be a big moment in pop culture that no one wants to miss.
