Bethesda has released update 1.7.36 for Starfield that players can download right now across PC and Xbox Series X. Bethesda has released multiple updates for Starfield since the open world sci-fi RPG launched in September, with the previous one coming at the end of last month.

The previous Starfield update mainly looked to fix some of the lingering bugs that have been plaguing the open world game. It also patched up a popular exploit that fans had been using to get rich quick. Now Starfield fans have yet another update to download, with this latest patch bringing the game to version 1.7.36.

Starfield update 1.7.36 isn't quite as big as the previous update, but it still makes important improvements to the game. The main new feature in this update is the addition of Field-of-View Sliders in the Settings menu that players can use to customize their FOV in both first-person and third-person. Additionally, the new Starfield update improves stability for Intel Arc GPUs, makes various other stability and performance improvements, and fixes a bug in the Echoes of the Past quest that hindered player progression.

Upon downloading the new update, Starfield should be an even more polished experience. While the game still has its fair share of bugs that need squashed, Starfield started off in a better state than most Bethesda games do at the time of their launch, and it should only get better from here.

Besides regular bug-fixing and performance updates, fans can expect Bethesda to add substantial new content to Starfield at some point down the line. While Bethesda has yet to reveal the specific release plans for the DLC, it has confirmed the Shattered Space expansion for the game. Shattered Space will be Starfield's first major expansion, with at least one more in the works for the game.

Bethesda has said that it plans on supporting Starfield long-term, and so it seems reasonable that even more expansions could be released for the game beyond the two that have already been confirmed. In the meantime, fans can expect plenty more Starfield updates as Bethesda continues to improve the open world sci-fi RPG based on fan feedback.
