- Ship-building features in Starfield are a highlight, allowing for wild ship ideas.
- Visual similarities between Starfield and Star Wars inspire players to recreate iconic ships.
A Starfield player online has shared their impressive interpretation of the Ghost, the main ship used by the protagonists in the animated TV series, Star Wars Rebels. Both Starfield and Star Wars complement each other well, which is why some players are choosing to merge the two franchises like this.
Despite the generally mixed reception that Starfield received from gamers, it's generally agreed that the powerful ship-building features are a highlight of the entire game. Since its launch last year, gamers have brought their wildest ship ideas to life. Some bring famous ships from other space franchises into the game, while others try not to take it too seriously. For example, there was one gamer who transformed their Starfield ship into a giant popsicle, which looks every bit as ridiculous as it sounds. There's no doubt that players are going to come up with plenty of weird and wonderful designs for many years to come yet.
Awesome Clip Shows How Much Stealth Has Improved in Starfield
A recently shared fan video does a great job at illustrating how much Bethesda managed to improve Starfield stealth following the game's release.
Redditor kyle429 showed off their impressive Starfield ship build, which is a cool interpretation of the Ghost from Star Wars Rebels. The build really nails the colors of the Ghost, and the unique placement of the cockpit above the docking port should make for a unique flying experience. According to kyle429, they plan on using the ship until someone creates a mod adding Boba Fett's ship, Slave 1.
Star Wars Rebels' Ghost Recreated in Starfield
There are a ton of visual similarities in the worlds of Starfield and Star Wars. As a result, it has naturally been a common theme for players to create Star Wars ships in the game, as they blend so seamlessly with Bethesda's vast world. It seems like all the new time, there's a new iconic Star Wars ship brought to life in the game. There was even one Starfield player who recreated Anakin's starship from Star Wars, showing how many fans are looking to the most iconic ships for inspiration. It's a testament to the power of the ship-building features in Starfield that these creations are actually feasible in the first place.
It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the year fares for Starfield. It's largely agreed that Bethesda's updates to Starfield in 2024 have massively improved the game, taking large strides forward toward finally fulfilling its potential. However, the game's first expansion, the Starfield Shattered Space DLC, will be another huge moment where it needs to impress gamers. Many will be willing to give Bethesda's RPG a second chance when Shattered Space launches later this year, and given Starfield's generally mixed reception, it really needs to stick the landing here.
