Starfield recently added its first land vehicle, and one hilarious mod has transformed the space rover into Thomas the Tank Engine. It only took a few short days for some creative Starfield players to make changes to the REV-8, and a few have produced some incredibly memorable results.

After revealing the REV-8 trailer at Gamescom, Bethesda quickly added the vehicle to Starfield in a free update on August 20. Since then, many players have been having fun transforming the vehicle into notable means of transport from pop culture. From the iconic Warthog from Halo to NASA's Lunar Rover, a variety of fun mods have begun to spring up online. As Starfield approaches its first anniversary, a land vehicle has been many players' wishlists, and the game's modding community is giving players even more unique possibilities with the REV-8.

A mod created by BlahBlahDEEBlahBlah has transformed the REV-8 into Thomas the Tank Engine, the iconic children's show and book character. Starfield players have been quick to mod the REV-8, but this particular mod has been one of the most entertaining yet. The mod is a shockingly accurate representation of the titular fictional train, turning Starfield's first vehicle into a hilarious novelty.

Starfield Mod Turns REV-8 Into Thomas the Tank Engine

From the train's blue body to the red-striped accents, the Nexus user's mod brings one of the most unexpected crossovers to life. Mods like Halo's Warthog and NASA's Lunar Rover make sense thematically, but seeing Thomas' wide-eyed stare in Starfield's setting reminds many of the train's appearance in the opening prologue of Bethesda's Skyrim as made possible by a popular mod years ago. As of now, 32 players have downloaded the mod, but more will likely give this creation some love in the future. Since the vehicle's launch, acquiring the REV-8 in Starfield has been many players' top priority, and it's impressive how quickly some of them have been able to transform the car.

Now that Starfield's Shattered Space DLC has a release date, Bethesda's sci-fi adventure continues to bring good news to players. The REV-8 brings a much-needed update to Starfield's planet traversal, and it has proven to be a game-changer for many. With this update and the upcoming Shattered Space expansion, it will be exciting to see what is next for Starfield and if other vehicles will play a part in its future. If more vehicles eventually come to Starfield, there's no telling what other fun creations the game's modding community will make.
