Starfield: How to Unlock Gran-Gran’s Free Armor Set

There are various elements that will be crucial for players when creating their loadout in Starfield. Although the weapons that players decide to take with them are undeniably essential, protective space gear is just as important. Gamers will find dozens of different spacesuits, helmets, and packs while exploring in Starfield, but there is unique gear that can only be obtained under certain circumstances.

This guide will focus on Gran-Gran's armor, which includes a great helmet and spacesuit. It won't be available for every Starfield player, but those who have the opportunity to claim it should take a look at how to do it.

How to Get Gran-Gran's Armor

Even though players have to send two percent of their credits home each week when they pick the Kid Stuff trait, there are several exclusive items that they'll receive throughout their playthrough. Gran-Gran's armor set is one of the perks that is only available for players who have the Kid Stuff trait in Starfield.

When players visit the Lodge in New Atlantis, Noel will let them know if one of their parents dropped by. They oftentimes visit and leave a note, asking the player to visit them in the Residential District. This also usually means that they have a gift they'd like to give.

During one of their first conversations with Dad, gamers will receive Grandpa's exclusive Meatloaf recipe. Later on, Dad will also give them Sir Malcolm Livingstone's Pistol.

After receiving these presents, gamers will get a note from Mom, asking them to come over once they get the chance. If they head to their parent's home after reading Mom's note, they'll be rewarded with Gran-Gran's armor.

Gran-Gran's Armor Stats

Before giving the player Gran-Gran's Space Helmet and Gran-Gran's Spacesuit, Mom explains why she decided to hand over the space gear. According to her, Gran-Gran was part of the United Colonies Marines, and since the player made it into Constellation, she believes that they would've gotten along great if they had ever had the opportunity to meet. She admits that the suit will get better use in the player's hands than stored away.

Unfortunately, Gran-Gran's armor doesn't include a pack, but the spacesuit and helmet are great additions to gamers' inventories; they provide quite a bit of protection against all sorts of damage types, and each one even has its own incorporated mod.
