One Starfield player has recently taken to social media to showcase an astonishing ship shaped like a giant frog. Their unique design adds to the ever-extending list of amazing custom spaceships that Starfield players constructed in recent months.

While many fans have so far been using the Starfield ship builder to put together a variety of futuristic vessels that wouldn't look out of place in any hard sci-fi setting, others opted to aim for more unusual designs. Some of the most creative such efforts that emerged online to date revolved around attempts to create spacecraft shaped like various animals.

The latest testament to that trend comes from Reddit user SuperSaiyanEddie, who recently went through the effort of designing a frog-shaped vessel in Starfield. The end result of their engineering endeavor is nothing if not impressive, as it makes clever use of the game's ship modules in order to deliver a design that's instantly evocative of a giant toad. For example, a carefully positioned landing bay colored dark purple mimics the frog ship's tongue, while four protruded landing gears act like its legs.

SuperSaiyanEddie also took the time to design a tail for the ship, which means this vessel is technically some kind of a mechanical frog-pollywog hybrid. Anatomical accuracy aside, the spacecraft impressed hundreds of fans, having consequently emerged on the front page of the game's largest subreddit. SuperSaiyanEddie even came up with a clever name for their animal-shaped Starfield ship, dubbing it the S.S. Ribbit, in reference to the croaking sound of a frog.

And while the player did not share a detailed parts list to go along with their unusual-looking Starfield ship, some of the modules that they used are easy enough to infer from the image of the vessel itself. For example, the Cabot C4 Bridge that serves as the mechanical frog's head is absolutely unmistakable for anything else due to its distinct half-oval shape and unique-looking viewport. Ditto for the Port Fore variant of the NG-10 Landing Gear, of which four were used for the vessel's leg equivalents. Overall, it would appear that the player constructed this marvelous spacecraft using a combination of Deimos and Nova Galactic parts.

The S.S. Ribbit is far from the first vessel shaped like an animal that the game's fandom put together since early September; just last month, another Starfield player built a convoluted ship that looks like a giant snake and was inspired by the name of The Great Serpent, an entity worshiped by the mysterious House Va'ruun.
