Starfield is full of strange planets and even stranger creatures for players to discover, but one player's discovery has been dubbed the "ugliest" they've ever seen, and other fans seem to agree. They allegedly ran into the creature while exploring one of the many planets in Starfield as it shuffled around the lush environment.

Players making strange discoveries in the game are not difficult to find, as the game encourages exploration and travel to a variety of planets that all have unique forms of life, resources and structures to encounter. Still, this player's discovery amused fans with just how strange and alien it looked even compared to some of Starfield's strangest creatures.

Bethesda Game Studios' latest massive RPG, Starfield, sees a huge boost in player count numbers following its highly praised May update.

The player, a Reddit user called u/Pedro_MS83, shared a screenshot of the creature in question, called a Flocking Snuffler Scavenger, is a slug-like alien with no legs, a long elephant-like trunk, bulging red eyes, and large, sharp teeth jutting out from its mouth. Some comments also mentioned how the design appears similar to the space jockey creature from the Alien film franchise, whose original design has a similar long trunk and lacks any limbs, giving it a slug-like appearance. Starfield debuted last year to a massive launch for developer Bethesda, but with expectations as high as they were, sentiments began to shift over time as players pointed out some of its flaws when compared to the competition. Though many complained about the game's general repetition and lack of meaningful exploration at launch, the game maintains an active playerbase and a huge modding community which even lets players turn it into the ultimate Star Wars fantasy.
