Ryujin Industries is one of the most powerful factions in the world of Starfield and one that players can join in order to pursue a unique questline. "Accidents Happen" is the sixth mission in the faction questline and follows on from the mission "Sowing Discord," in which players have to sabotage a business meeting at the Astral Lounge.

As part of Starfield's "Accidents Happen" quest, players will be sent off-world again and are tasked with reminding competitors of their place within the corporate food chain. Players will once again be traveling to Hopetown, only this time, rather than retrieving an item, they will be planting one instead.

How To Find Hopetown

Starfield Accidents Happen Walkthrough Valo Location

HopeTech is one of the Settled Systems' premier ship builders, and its main base of operations is the factory settlement of Hopetown, located on the planet of Polvo in the Valo star system (twinned with Narion) between Sol and Cheyenne. The settlement is home to a number of vendors, and players can also have their ships serviced and repaired here.

Upon landing, players will need to make their way through the main lobby towards the factory facility they infiltrated during "Access Is Key," only this time, instead of heading to the security office, players will need to board a large ship being worked on in the warehouse and plant the ARC device in the ship's Service Panel. Like the previous missions in the Ryujin Industries faction questline, players will receive a bonus and extra appraisal if they complete the job without being caught.

How To Plant The ARC Device

Starfield Accidents Happen Walkthrough Ship

The ship is located on the far side of the large hangar where the security office is located. There are several ways to get inside without being caught, and it is not very well guarded on the outside. One of the easier ways to get inside is to climb the stairs at the edge of the warehouse and then drop down from above. Though this is not entirely necessary to get inside, it will be easier to spot the access points to the ship from a higher vantage point.

Once inside, players will notice that the Service Panel is guarded by a single HopeTech security officer. He will patrol back and forth from the Service Panel, so players will have to sneak and time their movements to avoid being detected. Even if caught, the guard will not do anything; it is only at the point of tampering with the Services Panel that the alarm will be raised.

Once the ARC device has successfully been installed, players will need to make their way back to Neon and report to Imogen on the outcome of the mission. It is at this point that Imogen reveals the ARC device can be used for a number of dangerous purposes, including switching off engines and detonating massive explosions. Having finished this mission, the Ryujin questline will start to open up more, and in the next mission, "Top Secrets," players will be reporting to the executives of the company.

Starfield is available now for PC and Xbox Series X/S.
