Summary
- Warp totems in Stardew Valley can be helpful for quick travel.
- Using a Farm Totem sent a player into a tricky situation.
- Keeping essential tools like pickaxe and axe is crucial.
A Stardew Valley player found themselves stuck after using a Farm Warp Totem for the first time on a particular playthrough. The mistake could have seen them trapped until their Stardew Valley farmer passed out, but thankfully, they found a solution in time.
Stardew Valley teleports can be extremely useful in the game. In general, getting around anywhere in Stardew Valley at a quicker pace is helpful. Stardew Valley speed boosts like those gained through drinking coffee or riding a horse can be a big help, but teleporting is even better. With a Return Scepter or a totem, players can zip around the map instantaneously, allowing them to accomplish more per day. However, gamers should take caution so they don't end up in this player's situation.
Stardew Valley player and Reddit user purelandmandala shared their mistake of using a
Warp Totem: Farm for the first time and getting stuck. This was their first playthrough on the Stardew Valley Meadowlands Farm, and they hadn't noticed that the totem they would be warping to was in an awkward position on the map. After using their first farm-bound Warp Totem, they teleported home, but found themselves trapped behind an oak tree with no axe in their inventory. Initially, the player was wondering whether they should completely reset the day in order to prevent their farmer from passing out and losing some money.
Stardew Valley Fans Share Advice and Support
Other players have been both sympathetic and amused at the player's plight. Some shared stories of going through similar experiences when using totems, and expressed annoyance at the fact that they can get stuck like this. Most players agreed that passing out on the farm would be preferable to restarting the game and losing any valuable progress or drops that the player had made over the course of the day. However, others also suggested that the Stardew Valley player use bombs to clear away the tree. Purelandmandala ended up taking the advice and says they bombed the tree about ten times before it was cleared, and survived the multiple bombings by eating food to restore their health.
Thankfully, this situation ended up being resolved with a happy ending. However, it's a good reminder for players to remember to keep important tools like their pickaxe and axe on them at all times. Getting stuck can be a huge hassle, and these two Stardew Valley tools can be extremely valuable in getting out of most situations like purelandmandala's.
