Prerequisites of Radioactive Carp Fishing

The Radioactive Carp exclusively appears during the Extended Family Quest. To catch this Legendary creature, you need to attain Fishing Level 10 or have an active Fishing Buff. Unlike the Mutant Carp, the Radioactive variant can spawn year-round, irrespective of the weather conditions, and is catchable multiple times during the quest.

There is no limit on how many Carp you catch during the Quest. However, note that the challenge will remain active for 3 in-game days.

How to Get Radioactive Carp

To catch a Radioactive Carp, head to the Sewers. If you want to guarantee fishing one, use the Iridium Rod with a Lead Bobber. You can also go with the Wild Bait to maximize your chances of luring this Legendary Fish.

Catching Radioactive Carp is the same as its Mutant version, except it doesn’t have to be raining for the fish to spawn. Once the Extended Family Quest is active, you can go down in the Sewers and start fishing in the contaminated waters.

When generously giving away special fish, note that Radioactive Carp isn’t universally appreciated. The best response you can expect is a neutral reaction. Among the characters, only Demetrius, Elliott, Leo, Linus, Pam, Sebastian, and Willy are tolerant of this Carp as a gift.
