Players are able to buy a number of useful items in Stardew Valley, ranging from seeds to grow crops, ingredients for cooking and crafting recipes, and materials needed to build sheds, kegs, scarecrows, and more. Items can be purchased from a number of NPCs, such as

Marnie, among others. However, items are instantly purchased once selected, meaning no return policy for any misclicked goods. This lesson was learned and shared by Good-Chemical46 after they inadvertently bought 360 plates of spaghetti. While the pasta dish can be utilized to restore health and stamina, the egregious quantity of spaghetti and its total cost in gold made for an expensive yet comical mistake.
Costly Shopping Mistakes in Stardew Valley
Fellow Stardew Valley fans immediately chimed in with their own shopping mishaps, sharing in the humor of OP's unfortunate yet surprisingly common error. One poor Redditor revealed that they accidentally bought 60 Miners Rarecrows from the Dwarf in the Stardew Valley Mines, forcing them to build a "chest of shame" to store the excess of unnecessary items. Others shared that they too had overpurchased food or even seeds, with some of the mistakes proving costly for quest completions.
