Perhaps that's what led to one player building an incredible portrait of ConcernedApe within Stardew Valley itself. On Reddit, user Stillow shared their stunning farm creation, which they say took somewhere between 15-20 hours to get done. The portrait extends over the entirety of the farm, and has been brought to life by setting down various objects from the game to form the shapes and color palette needed to replicate the photo of the dev. While some Stardew Valley in-game artworks have utilized just one type of item, like chests, this one uses a wide array of items of different heights and shapes, creating an almost three-dimensional raised relief quality to the image. When viewed zoomed-out, it looks like an accurate portrait, but zooming in reveals the full incredible detail, with items like planks, chests, kegs, furnaces, statues, and more all playing a role in the image.

Stardew Valley ConcernedApe Portrait Gets Broken Down

Fans have been shocked by the efforts of the creator to put this together, especially since they created it from scratch. The fan says they used the CJB Item Spawner mod and a mod to extend the farm map and remove any lakes, giving them a bigger and unobstructed canvas to work with. In a second post, they shared a rough timelapse of the build, where one can see how the shape was laid out with a grid system and gradually filled in with numerous objects.

It would be difficult to overstate how much of an impact Stardew Valley has had on players. The game is open-ended enough that players can enjoy it however they like, whether they want to min-max farm life or cruise along at a relaxed pace. More than anything, though, fans seem to be drawn in by the cozy and comforting qualities of the game, and plenty have shared their appreciation of ConcernedApe in the past. While Haunted Chocolatier is on the minds of many Stardew Valley fans, it's clear that no matter what the developer does next, Stardew Valley has been a positive part of many gamers' lives.
