How to Move Buildings in Stardew Valley
As players progress in Stardew Valley, they might change their minds about their farm layout or simply want to move some buildings around for the sake of efficiency.
To move buildings in Stardew Valley, players must first visit Robin at the Carpenter’s Shop in the Mountain area of Pelican Town.
The Carpenter’s Shop is open every day from 9 AM to 5 PM, except Tuesdays. On Fridays, the shop closes early at 4 PM.
Robin is Pelican Town’s local carpenter so she manages all construction projects on the player’s farm. Therefore, gamers must resort to her help if they'd like to move any of their buildings in Stardew Valley. Here is when players can expect to find Robin at the Carpenter's Shop:

Players can initiate a conversation with Robin, who stands behind the wooden counter. Once gamers are talking to Robin, they must select the following options to start the moving process:
- Choose the "Construct Farm Buildings" dialogue option
- Select the "Move Buildings" icon (four outward-pointing arrows) on any of the building options
- Use the cursor to select which farm building should be moved
- Then, pick where the farm building should go and confirm
The building can be placed anywhere on the farm as long as all the squares are green. Farm buildings are moved instantly and do not cost anything at all.
