As you begin your angler journey in Stardew Valley, you'll start to realize that some fish can earn you a lot of money, and some are a great option to have available to make recipes or complete requests. Some fish can even be a great addition to a Fish Pond within your farm to generate extra profit.

Though some fish can be easily located and are available throughout most seasons, some are a bit more hidden and will require you to seek them out in specific areas during certain times. If you're currently on the hunt for some Smallmouth Bass, here's where you can locate the fish.

Where to Find Smallmouth Bass in Stardew Valley

Smallmouth Bass are certainly not one of the more difficult fish to find in the game, but if you are currently in need of one soon, you'll need to meet these criteria to spot one:

  • Found in the river in Pelican Town or the pond in Cindersap Forest
  • Can be caught in Spring or Fall
  • Can sometimes be purchased at the Traveling Cart

You can find these locations in the image gallery above. As long as you stay in the right area and only search for the Smallmouth Bass in Spring or Fall, you shouldn't have too much trouble picking one up. You can also add some bait to your fishing pole to make it easier and faster to catch one. You can also use Magic Bait to get one in Winter or Summer if you can't wait.

If you want to multiply the amount of Smallmouth Bass you can obtain, you can create a Fish Pond on your farm and throw some Smallmouth Bass inside. Another fish will spawn after about 2 days, and you can also receive some Smallmouth Bass Roe randomly.
